Hey... You know what's great 2 weeks before school? Having a power supply (that I bought less than a week ago), basically die on me. The fans died, the LED light died. Because of this, it starts to get really hot and in turn, heats up my CPU that's near by. I will be RMAing it to Newegg, but in the mean time I ordered this baby:
Antec True550 550W power supply.
I'll just use the RMA'ed one as a backup if I need it. Right now I'm on my 350W psu that came with my case. You try running a GeForce 6800GT on a semi-cheap 350W PSU. I'm lucky I have the net and such at the moment, and very lucky that things work as my other PSU didn't seem to short anything out.
Hopefully my components hold up til I'm ready for some major changes.
So to summarize the past weeks:
Updated my PSU, CPU heatsink/fan, vid card.
Reformatted losing 60+ GB
Took care of my sister's/mother's computer as described below.
Have to RMA my 'new' PSU, bought an Antec 550W psu, running on my 350W psu and am worried that my motherboard might be a little screwed up because of the last meltdown.

To elaborate on earlier...
11 hours spen today on my sister's (family) computer trying to fix it (There was just one problem with her AIM away message that led to the discovery of a lot of crap).
Task manager and regedit would not stay open as they constantly closed within 1 second of my trying to run them.
So ... here it is, Saturday, and how do I get to spend it?
Why busy removing (so far) NINE trojans from my sister's computer of course! Lesse here. Trendmicro has identified the following:

So... I went back to blue.
Now that I actually have hosting now, the images should show up. If they don't then the server is down for some reason, but it's usually up.
I'm just curious, since when did the news die when Shawn goes away for a week for Spring Break? I mean... honestly now. :P
If you happen to read about how a kid violently maimed his roommate... Yeah that'd be me when I freak out on my roommate after he tells me one of his little heartbreaking tales of "I wish I was back with my ex even though she just broke up with a kid who wants to best his non-shirt wearing dad by wearing a shirt and one upping him but otherwise isn't amounting to anything in life, but I really like the girl who is my ex and OH MY GODZ liek she kissed me when I went home but there's this girl here I might have a chance with if only I wasn't such a freaking puss and asked either one of them out... ever." Yeah... that's him in a nutshell there. Oh! Please insert some Austin Powers quote there... God knows I haven't heard them before.

Anyway there was some crap going on with a site I co-own. Apparently one of the partners (3 of us pay for the monthly hosting alternatively) got pissed at me for basicly no reason. He refused to pay, and as the hosting is directly taken out of an account that is under my MOTHER's name this did not go over well with me so I kept persisting. He was pissed at me for nothing and thought "oh well, I don't have to deal with this" and basicly ignored him for a while.
Another kid who owns the domain for the site then altered the password for the site control panel. He then edited config.php under vB3 and removed me and another from admin spots, threatening to move the site elsewhere, as I was planning some coup. Now... A coup... on a site who's hosting I own. Making a ton of sense isn't it? Yeah, same here. So kid who owns the domain, kid who used to be a co-owner of the hosting, and another kid who just needs to die on principle alone took over the site, took me down from power and basicly fucked things up. I mail the host with an urgent request, and get the control panel pw changed back and under my control once more. I also regained control of the ftp with this method. After which it was a nice night of trying to regain control back on the message boards and after finally getting this the next day. I can't log into the AdminCP for the longest time, as well the site seems to be dieing by the fact I could really only access it through the host's IP and the account name. And then somehow the kid who owns the domain name deleted a nice 75MB database. Which some may know is the lifeblood of a message board.
ETC ETC... Some 48 hours later, and only 4 of those spent sleeping, the site is back up. Luckily I, and another kid made a backup of the database just minutes before it was destroyed. It was then restored, my spot was regained, and basicly if they want to fuck with me anymore they have to guess at a very cryptic and LONG password to get into the site CP, and they also then have to mess around with the config to even be able to alter my status at the message boards. So to those guys... Fuck you, die, kthnx bai.
5 hour trip turns into a 6 and 1/2 hour trip thanks to crappy directions from my brother on how to get to his house.
Trip went as such:
Leave Here at 6:00PM Friday Arrive home at ~7:30ish PM Friday Go out to dinner with family ~8PM Home at ~10PM Fell asleep about 11-11:30PM Awake at 7AM Saturday Leave at 8AM Not counting one lengthy rest stop for lunch we arrive at my brother's place (Outside of DC) at 2:30PM We leave there at about 4:30 heading towards "Old Historical Downtown Hernden" ... that sucked. Leave towards Alexandria, VA around 5:30 Arrive at said location at about 6:20PM and walked around this street that had a ton of shops, street led down to the Potomic and we relaxed fora bit before heading back up the street for a few blocks to eat at a place called 5 Guys (Makes really really good burgers and fries) and we left there heading back towards my brother's at about 8PM... Traffic was bad. Get back to my brother's place around 9ish, relaxed, fell asleep on my brother's couch, woke up and went up to the footon(spl?) which had a hard as all hell matress and it was warm all night.... got virtually no sleep. Awake at 7:30, left my brothers around 10, at my house by4:30 Left from there at 5, here at 6:40.... Relaxed, called up my g/f, called up my mom, took shower, relaxing still.
Finally heading home for a quick visit this weekend after spending a couple of months basically confined to this general area. Only going to be spending one night at my house though as we're taking a 5 hour (10 hour total) drive to VA to see my brother and sister-in-law. Leaving for there at 7AM Saturday morning... Ugh.
Back on campus sometime late Sunday evening. See you all then... or not :p
So yeah... to whomever may have posted the news from Walrii ... yeah, you MIGHT want to check out the main page first before posting duplicate information that I had already posted about. I changed his newsbit to the news I was going to post now anyway so yeah...
In other news, the HL2 file is a little over 1.4GB... 1.4061 GB to be exact :D
I must say there's nothing quite like throwing together a powerpoint presentation last minute before a two hour class begins, having the sub in there randomly pick ME to go first, and then running over on my timelimit for a speech I never practiced to go along with the powerpoint....
Ahhh... bliss ladies and gentlemen... bliss. -_-
Now it's off to type a two page "reader response" to an article about twins reared apart, and then it's off to do MORE technical drawings for the class from HELL! Who knew Beelzebub looked like a woman trucker? I certainly didn't...

PETA vs. KFC CHICAGO (Reuters) - An animal rights group said it plans to file a lawsuit Monday against fast-food chain KFC, accusing the company of making misleading statements on its Web site regarding how the chickens it sells are treated.
So basically they're suing KFC over the treatment of an animal that's going to end up being cooked, ordered with a side of potatoes, eaten, and digested... But so long as the animal is treated fairly BEFORE that, because Heaven forbid they're not happy before they're cooked.
SPOILERS MAYBE...AH HELL JUST READ THIS. I doubt any of you would actually watch these movies anyway you uncultere...*shuts up ;)*
Basic premise of BOTH movies goes something like this:
A group of strangers find themselves in these interconnected cube shaped rooms. Each one has a special trait about it, be it a trap, a shift in the gravitational alignment, time compression, etc...
Between both movies a large group is formed near the beginning. Near the middle they get split up, some die, some don't, blah blah blah. They're all trying to figure out the mystery of their cubes (IE: How to get the hell out alive). Using formulas no one really bothers to explain, yet somehow manages to figure out (Or they're given the answer to by some dead guy in the case of Cube 2), the group generally realizes that hey... "Sitting still, and not moving one damn spot will get us all out alive! WHEEEE!" But no... In order to make a feature length film the group travels from identical cube to identical cube risking their lives by the mysteries within each area, only to find out they're damned morons in the end.
Both movies have one person survive. Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick!!!!... ONE PERSON!? Yes little Billy, one person out of a group of about 6ish. Oh and the movies happen to feature the token minority. The first one had an African-American (Mmmm... Love the politically correctness of that), a mentally challenged skeleton for a guy, and some other people. The second one had a blind girl, a senile old lady, the fat guy, a young guy, and the rest of them. *Awards the makers of the movie for covering their asses not once, but TWICE in giving all areas of the human realm of rainbows we call diversity a shot* Kudos... Kudos. Maybe in the next movie (Dubed Cube 3: "Mega Superdooper Massively Hyper Global Cube of Death, Destruction, and Senseless Killing In Which The Group Needs Only to Stay in One Place to Avoid") they'll have someone from Ethiopia, a deaf midgit in a wheel chair, and a siamese dog to round out their cast... *Crosses fingers*
Ok so it sounds like I'm bashing the movies... I'm not.
I do like them. I like the part in the second movie where it reminds me of the first movie... *Read: The second movie was a carbon copy of the first made just to show off the improved technology and higher budget* but it was the same thing just flashier (I can say "flashier" right? That's not going to offend anyone? .... Oh ok... Good to know).
The first was original, it made you think, and wonder about the mystery of the cube. The second one also made you think but in the mind numbing "oh my God kill me now" sort of way. The first was based on the cube number the group was on, the second was based on time (Hence their whole 4th dimension, let's stretch for a plot twist idea). *Sigh* If you're going to make a movie like that be original the second time around. Don't jazz it up and market it as a true sequel.
The premise was somewhat good, the follow through was all wrong. You just... No. The ending also confused the HELL out of me for Cube 2. Perhaps the Sim one could explain it, but I watched it like 3 times and I was left with a "Huh?" each time. Basically I (spoiler to end all spoilers if you ever wanted to see these movies) gathered she was an agent for the military/army/'secret non US Armed forces but made to look important devision' sent in to retrieve some device, or gather some data. And she has this thing she was wearing that friggin floats... Ugh...
I could also care less about their backgrounds. Didn't really make them more believeable characters. It also didn't really tie them in to one another until the very friggin end. I was disappointed in the traps of the Hypercube. Wooooooow, look Ma a sharp spinning thing of death that is activated by movement. Or some gel/rod things that push out from the wall. Oh the cake one was the various time compression rooms. The one at the end where the young guy and the lawyer girl were in and apparently once they start going at it they're not only able to float but they age really damn quickly. I mean... COME ON! It's just that sort of thing that strikes from my list one of the top 100 things to do in life. Goodbye to #78 "Get it on with some hot girl in a Hypercube." The movie just killed that hope and dream right there on the spot! The traps in the first movie were quit nice... The room with the spikes activated by sound... Classic... Gotta love that sort of stuff.
I guess I was just expecting more... :'( They let me down on this one. They didn't explain enough (Or they explained too much and they confused even themselves) about how the time compression worked, especially in a man made "virtual" cube like that.
And the calculations were all wrong. They forgot to carry the 3... Damn idiots. They just created a leak in their cube map that's going to be a BITCH to find and repair before the next group of players, erm text sub... erm... idiots... venture in. Ok, so this last paragraph is a ramble... Shut up. I'm owed this after writing this at 3-3:30 A-friggin-M in the morning... >=D View/Make

Mmmm 90+ degrees all day. STILL cleaning the room today, moved on to the clothes... It's amazing what I once wore let me tell ya. Actually it's really not as most of my shirts had like tigers and other assorted animals on them. Why? Because my mom was a buy freak when I had fund raisers for Science Club back in 7th grade.
Storms tonight... About time, but that only means higher humidity! It's at like 30000% now and by tonight it'll be... Well I can probably open my door and go swimming through the air.
And Insane's views do not necessarily reflect those views of any FPS gamer anywhere on this planet alive and/or dead. CS pwns you, it can't help that you suck :D.
And I got back into CS1.6 BETA while I'm on the subject. Some of the new sounds flat out sound weak. They also suck if you want to throw that in. I must say, the Galil is a sexy beast as it was when I first played the beta a while back, and the FA-MAS is still only good in games like MGS2. Riot shield is fun for a bit when playing WITH it but it's rather lame playing against it. Often times takes 2 people to go against one with a shield. One to make the enemy face forward, the other to flank him and kill him. Actually on purpose or not it does introduce some nice team play inclusions instead of one man armies. And the new knife... hmm... It's different. I mean it's a knife, hardly used other than to speed up a bit and to knife those that suck horribly. I hardly pay attention to the looks of it, but some say that change is always good...
And oddly enough I have the strongest urge to go out and race some high speed, high performance, high priced cars... I'm pretty sure the fact that the back of the Gran Turismo 3 box is to my immediate right and I can't turn my head without seeing it... GT3 + PS2 = HERE I COME! View/Make

Yeah 3PM and I'm sitting up in my room, in 90+ degree weather, and I'm cleaning out a bunch of old junk I don't need or use anymore... THAT is the definition of bliss right there. And since I found myself bored with cleaning I figured that I might hop on over to EA here and see if there were any new Journal entries, and low and behold, THERE ARE NONE BUT MINE! *Gasp* Aiiiiiiieeeee! C'mon people, journal entires = new news!! Well not really. New news comes when I find I have a lot of time and since my little "break" here is coming to a close so must my journal time. News updates later, so be sure to stop on back then.
Averaging about 3 hours or less of sleep per night for the past 2 weeks now. Two nights ago I only had 40 mins of of sleep during one night... Not cool. I'm tired during the day but at night I'm really not. Even when I am tired I don't want to sleep as sleeping leads to dreaming and dreaming leads me back to Tracy :(. I'm not exactly sure what was planned in the grand scheme of things when she, the only source of happiness in my life for the past year+, died... You noticed how quiet things are around you when someone you talked to every single day is no longer able to speak at all.
Also the reason I haven't done any new art. My heart just isn't it in anymore.
I also lost a best friend of nearly 5 years when I realize she's basically just strung me along for so long for her own personal gain. I was basically her 'crutch' that she could lean on whenever she needed reassured she still mattered... An ego booster if you will... That hurt...
And my mom's condition... 2nd round of chemo therapy made her pretty sick for a couple of days after but she's alright now...
I had also helped restart a website after it had to be reformatted to install new forum's software. That's taken a lot of my free time (Which I seem to have nothing but) where I help administrate the boards.
So basically sorry I haven't really been around much, I'm still trying though all things considered. I just wish over 18 years of hell would pay off sooner rather than later... And not tease me with false bestfriends, or with killing off my girlfriend turned fiancee (You read correct), or with financial problems with layoffs at my father's work, or with family health problems...
Weird how I've nothing to do, yet everything to be depressed (to the point I feel only medication or intense therapy can dig me out of) about.
